Introduction to the test bench


The heavy-duty drive axle test bench is a professional axle testing equipment. The main test objects are the heavy-duty drive axles of commercial vehicles and the drive axles of non-road engineering vehicles.


This equipment mainly realizes:

  • Fatigue and performance tests of the drive axle: to investigate the efficiency and reliability of the test piece;

  • Road simulation test: simulate the load of the real vehicle through the road model, and investigate the fatigue, durability, abnormal noise and other working conditions after the drive axle is installed on the real vehicle; 

  • Real vehicle load spectrum test: collect the road load spectrum, reproduce it on the bench, simulate the drive axle, the real vehicle road load, and test the durability of the drive axle more realistically and conveniently.

The above tests can provide effective test data support for the vehicle research and development of the OEM and the research and development of the drive axle, and improve the comprehensive performance of the research and development products of the OEM. 

In addition, the three motors of this product can change the driving/loading mode arbitrarily, and can be combined arbitrarily. By replacing the test piece tooling, other transmission components can also be tested. It can be said that one machine has multiple functions and has a high cost performance.

Technical Features:

High degree of reduction: The bench is arranged in a T-shape, and the layout of the real vehicle is highly restored; the axles of the test piece of the bench are connected by a universal drive shaft, which is fast and convenient to install, and has a certain degree of disturbance, which can exclude the influence of poor installation and alignment data on the test;

High precision: The bench is equipped with HBM torque sensor, the sensor has speed measurement, and is equipped with Kerry Equipment's patented self-developed measurement algorithm, which ensures high-precision measurement of speed and torque in a strong interference environment;

High scalability: The bench can be equipped with battery simulators, power analyzers and other electric drive-related auxiliary equipment, and has the ability to test the electric axle; it can also be equipped with an early fault monitoring system to analyze the failure analysis of the test piece; Water cooling, oil cooling, air cooling and other methods are optional, and subsequent expansion, etc., all reflect the high flexibility and scalability of this equipment;

Fast response: The bench drive unit adopts the motor direct drive mode, which has fast response and can cover road simulation tests and load spectrum tests under all working conditions;

Covering a wide range of tests: the wheel-end loading unit adopts a power combination of a motor and a gearbox, the gearbox adopts dual output shafts, and is equipped with torque sensors of different ranges, which can cover the test range of the test piece to the greatest extent, and has strong test ability; And the drive unit can be adjusted in height, angle and axial direction to cover different types of test pieces;

Road simulation: It can complete the road simulation of various working conditions such as standard working conditions C-WTVC, NEDC, CLTC, WLTP and custom working conditions;

Real vehicle load spectrum simulation: The real vehicle load spectrum can be imported, and the load spectrum can be reproduced and loaded on the bench, and the load spectrum reproduction can be up to 100HZ;

Safety protection: The equipment is equipped with system-level safety protection, user-defined protection functions, and has a hierarchical protection shutdown strategy, which can automatically monitor common faults such as overrun, abnormal vibration, abnormal temperature rise, and abnormal torque fluctuation. Once an abnormal situation occurs, it will automatically trigger an alarm and automatically stop. In addition, it also has a broken shaft anti-speeding strategy and a mechanical restraint device to prevent damage to the specimen and the bench and provide a high-safety test environment.
